Making Connections through Music with the Intention of Creating Peace

Planetary Gigs Society is a nonprofit charitable organization with the mission of Making Connections through Music with the Intention of Creating Peace.  The Society will provide resources and information about the power of music and organizations that are promoting music and musicians.  The Society also sponsors a podcast called Planetary Gig Talk - Tales of Music and Magic.

Concerts for HUMANITY AND democracy

(Please see all Concerts below)

The Planetary Gigs Society has sponsored and conducted Concerts for Humanity and Democracy since October of 2020. Please see below for an explanation of these Concerts and videos to all of the Concerts. Democracy Needs Music and Music Needs Democracy!

The Society is currently shifting its focus to encouraging, sponsoring, and conducting CONCERTS FOR HUMANITY! The first Concert for Humanity was held at the Devi Music Ashram in Rishikesh, India on February 24, 2024. The intent of these Concerts is to encourage musicians and everyone to recognize the power of music, how we all have our common spirituality in music, and that it is important NOW for everyone to use the power of music to help bring about peace, harmony, and coherence to the world. As with the Concerts for Democracy, we encourage all musicians, artists, and citizens of the planet to step forward and help us navigate a more harmonious future.

Additional Concerts for Humanity sponsored by the Planetary Gigs Society will be held and videos will be available on this website. (Unfortunately, some of the earlier Concerts for Democracy were on Facebook Live and are no longer available.)

Please check social media for dates and information and videos of the Concerts will be provided as available.

How Musicians Can Participate!

When we began this series, it was the fall of 2020. We believed it was time for musicians to sing out about Democracy and our freedoms! We’re still at a critical point in our lives and in history, and the choice in many countries is between Democracy or authoritarian rule, and we now focus more broadly on Concerts for Humanity, to help bring more peace and harmony to the world. Music is incredibly powerful and brings healing, unity, and peace. The Planetary Gigs Society encourages musicians to sing out now and let your intentions be known so that we can have that better world we all desire.

Musicians, please participate in these concerts, whatever you’d like to call them. There are many options to do so:

1. Play or record protest, political, or intentional songs for Humanity for your family or close friends and tell them why you are devoting your musical intentions to support all of Humanity and our freedoms, and explain why it is important for you.

2. Play or record protest or intentional songs for all of Humanity, and post them online on whatever social media platform you prefer; tell everyone in your own words what your intentions are for the world and why you are devoting your musical intentions to support peace and harmony for all of Humanity.

3. Sign up to play or record protest or intentional songs for Humanity with any organization sponsoring Concerts for Humanity or start your own Concerts for Humanity on any social media platform you’d like. Considering hosting on Zoom and streaming to Facebook Live, as one example.

4. Watch and share the Planetary Gigs Society Concerts for Democracy and Humanity performances and spread the word to your friends, families, and followers, including by widely sharing the links to the Concerts.

5. Share links to any of the Concerts for Democracy and Humanity that you watch or participate in to your social media to maximize exposure for these important musical performances.
